If you have a noble dream,
pursue it with all you have.

Confidence should not be the goal.

Confidence is defined as "a feeling of self-assurance arising from one's appreciation of one's own abilities or qualities". It is so focused on self and one's own abilities. What happens when you look at your abilities and you feel you don't measure up. Do you abandon the goal? I don't think so.

Courage should be our goal. Ask anyone who is doing "big" things and if they are honest, they'll tell you it wasn't that they were confident but they had courage. Courage says I don't know what I'm doing, but I'll try it anyway.

Courage means you do what is necessary to make things happen, regardless of your feelings or confidence in that matter.

I had a conversation with my sister a while back and what came out of that is " give your ideas a chance". What is your idea? The one that keeps coming back and you always look for excuses why it won't work and you keep dismissing it. Have you given it a chance to move from just being an idea into reality? Have you taken at least one step towards making it a reality?

You can get better at whatever you do if you do not rob yourself of the opportunity to start. As you start planning your goals

and deciding where you would like your life to go, remember confidence is not the goal, courage is. That one idea, please give it a chance.
