God. The ultimate coping mechanism.

We have access to an overwhelming amount of information these days. A quick Google search and we have answers instantly. Then there's ChatGPT, which is transforming the way we do things daily and providing solutions at lightning speed. But one thing ChatGPT can never replace is God. His love for us and the truth in His word are irreplaceable.

In this blog, I talk about how to lean into the arms of our loving father as we navigate the storms of life.

I was chatting with a friend who's also experiencing some changes in her life. It's been uncomfortable and has challenged both of us in a big way. To support each other, we usually check in through text or phone calls. We've talked a lot about things like "not internalizing rejection," "taking breaks between tasks," and "exercising and journaling our feelings." While these strategies have helped us manage our emotions, we realized that we've been leaving God out of the equation. We've been so open with each other that we forgot God also wants to hear about it all— the self-doubt, the uncomfortable feelings we're navigating.

Here are three ways to invite God into your situation:

1.Praying first thing in the morning: There is a peace the world can never give us,no matter how hard we look. There is a famous quote that says "If you kneel before God, you can stand before anyone". When we start our day reading God's word, meditating and praying, we get strength to face whatever the day might brings. By the time the enemy wants to fill our minds with doubt and negative words, we have already equipped ourselves with the truth of God's word.

2.Inviting God into every part of your day: God cares about every aspect of our lives, no matter how small it may seem. If it’s causing you anxiety, God wants to hear about it. If it’s keeping you up at night, it’s worth surrendering to Him. If we’re willing to share it with our friends and loved ones, why not share it with our Heavenly Father? Whether it's a project, a business meeting, or a presentation, tell God about it and how it’s making you feel.

Invite God into your difficulties.

3.Choose 1 scripture to stand on:  As you begin each week, find a scripture to meditate on. When anxiety strikes, quietly remind yourself of Philippians 4:6: "Do not be anxious or worried about anything." When fear tries to take control, hold on to 2 Timothy 1:7: "For God will never give you the spirit of fear." And when the daily challenges arise, let them find you prepared—armed with the truth of God's word, ready to fight..

Exercise, talking to a friend, and other tools are helpful, but God should be our ultimate source of strength. He’s the one we should turn to first, the one we invite into our daily lives and our "heart-to-heart" moments with a friend. By doing this, you'll soon find that your burdens become lighter, and life’s challenges won’t feel as overwhelming.

i'd love to hear from you:
